There are plenty of local attrations and things to do and see nearby.

 

  • Devizes Market Place and Museum - Historic market place formed by the outer bailey of Devizes Castle. Market days Thursday and Saturday.
  • Wadworths Brewery and dray horses - visit the brewery visitor centre and shop.
  • Caen Hill Locks - a flight of 29 locks rising over 230ft on the Kennet and Avon Canal on the edge of Devizes.
  • Stonehenge - World famous prehistoric monument.
  • Avebury  - the largest prehistoric stone circle in Britain.
  • Silbury Hill - the largest man made neolithic mound in Europe, close to Avebury.
  • Ridgeway Trail - Ancient trackway and possibly Britain's oldest road, starting at Overton, close to Avebury and travels in a northeasterly direction for about 87 miles.
  • Historic Bath & Salisbury - Shopping, ancient monuments and Spa's.
  • Local walks and cycle rides in the heart of the Wiltshire countryside.
